Qatar PM Says Gaza Ceasefire Incomplete Without Full Israeli Withdrawal

Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has stated that any Gaza truce or ceasefire agreement will remain incomplete without a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.

Speaking during a press conference, the Qatari prime minister emphasized that a lasting ceasefire in Gaza requires not only a halt to hostilities but also the complete end of Israel’s military presence in the enclave. He reiterated Qatar’s ongoing role as a mediator in Gaza peace talks, working alongside Egypt and the United States to secure a sustainable resolution to the conflict.

Sheikh Mohammed stressed that humanitarian aid access, reconstruction efforts, and the protection of civilians must be central to any Gaza ceasefire deal. He warned that without a full Israeli withdrawal, the truce would fail to bring long-term stability or address the root causes of the Gaza crisis.

Qatar has been a key diplomatic player in efforts to end the Gaza war, facilitating negotiations between Israel and Hamas and calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. The Qatari leader’s remarks come amid renewed international pressure for a permanent Gaza ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli troops to pave the way for peace and reconstruction in the war-torn territory.
