India Thrash Pakistan in U-19 Asia Cup Clash, Secure Dominant Victory

India recorded a commanding 90-run victory over Pakistan in their Group A match of the Under-19 Asia Cup at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on Sunday, strengthening their position at the top of the tournament standings.
The high-profile India vs Pakistan U-19 Asia Cup match was affected by rain, resulting in a delayed start and a reduced 49-over-per-side contest. Pakistan captain Farhan Yousaf won the toss and opted to field first.
India Recover After Early Wickets
After losing early wickets, India Under-19 posted a competitive 240 all out in 46.1 overs, thanks to a composed innings from Aaron George, who top-scored with 85 runs.
India captain Ayush Mhatre provided early momentum with a quick 38 off 25 balls, before Mohammad Sayyam struck twice in quick succession, dismissing Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (5) to reduce India to 78 for 2.
George then anchored the innings, adding stability through a 60-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Abhigyan Kundu (22). Kanishk Chouhan accelerated towards the end with a vital 46 off 46 balls, including three sixes, pushing India to a challenging total.
For Pakistan, Abdul Subhan (3 for 42) and Mohammad Sayyam (3 for 67) led the bowling attack, while Niqab Shafiq picked up two wickets.
Pakistan U-19 Collapse in the Chase
Pakistan’s chase got off to a disastrous start as Deepesh Devendran struck three times in his opening spell, leaving Pakistan Under-19 at 30 for 4.
Kanishk Chouhan removed opener Usman Khan (16), while skipper Farhan Yousaf’s 23 ended soon after, with Pakistan struggling at 77 for 5.
Middle-order batter Huzaifa Ahsan fought valiantly with a 70 off 83 balls, but lacked support from the other end. Chouhan finished with three wickets, while Kishan Singh claimed the final two dismissals.
Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 150 in 41.2 overs, handing India a convincing victory.
India Top Group A Standings
With this win, India moved to the top of Group A in the Under-19 Asia Cup, securing two wins from two matches and strengthening their chances of qualification for the knockout stage.
